OK Later. My Reservation. Last name on reservation. Upon walking in you can't help but notice the beautiful huge bar! Very eclectic looking, very woodsy, but gorgeous in its own way! The servers are really prompt, friendly, and the shift manager finds a way to visit each table! The menu is very diverse with the ever popular Asheville farm to table items, but there's also pub food that you'd expect to find in a tavern!

Outstanding is an understatement as the brisket was tender and a slight sweetness from the sauce and smoking process. The Mac was cheesy without having too much cheese which typically causes you to fight the cheese strings with each bite!

You could eat the dish with a spoon which spoke to the tenderness of the brisket! Carry on my friends!! We came across Pack's while visiting Asheville and I am so glad that we did! Most dishes feature choices of pork pastor, carnitas, steak asada, chicharron, cabeza and tongue, but vegetarians can ask for an off-menu mushroom and occasionally huitlacoche version of some offerings. A satellite location at Zillicoah Beer Co.

Founder Susannah Gebhart learned the art and science of crafting her naturally leavened Old World breads and European pastries from a fourth-generation Spanish-Italian baker, and for several years her little yellow bakeshop in West Asheville has been the place to go for perfect, airy baguettes and Instagramable sourdough loaves, as well as shatter-in-your-mouth croissants, jewel-like tarts sparkling with crystallized herbs, sugared Scandinavian cardamom buns, and other pastry delights.

A favorite stop for Barack and Michelle Obama during their Asheville visits, 12 Bones has long been a local go-to for barbecue. The hardwood-smoked ribs, with the popular blueberry-chipotle, spicy pineapple habanero, or more traditional brown-sugar sauce, are a top attraction.

And many go for the pulled pork, smoked turkey, or epic Hogzilla bacon, bratwurst, pulled pork, and pepper jack on a hoagie sandwiches. But house-made sides, like the corn pudding, jalapeno cheese grits, collard greens, and smoked potato salad are the sleeper hits. A post shared by 12 Bones 12bonesribs. I chose the Sweet Pea Risotto.

It ws absolutely outstanding. My spouse doesn't care for risotto because she usually finds it too heavy, but she changed her mind after tasting this version. The consistency and the hint of lemon made it heavenly. The service was flawless. Very accomodating and helpful with entree choices but unobtrusive. Our water glasses were always full. Our only regret was that we didn't have room for dessert, since the dessert menu sounde great.

The layout of the restaurant and the decor was pleasing and comfortable, interesting without screaming for attention. I heartily recommend this restaurant. Having read the glowing reviews of Glass Onion mainly of dinners we stopped by for lunch. Overall we found the food quite unmemorable.

The flounder sandwich was fried but not crisp at all; the shrimp in the quesadilla had an unusual taste. The restaurant was quite attractive; considering the other reviews we may try again for dinner. My wife and I live roughly 10 minutes south of Weaverville and had always wondered what the Glass Onion was like. We finally ventured out on our date night with the baby at home. We were absolutely blown away by the food. We've made the rounds to all the Asheville restaurants and we now include this on in our top 5.

The garlic bread they bring out is amazing and unique to other italian restaurants. We ordered a spinach salad with sauteed root vegetables and a flash fried goat cheese ball think a tater tot filled with goat cheese – all phenomenal!
