These signs, of a multi-scoop ice cream cone and different size barnyard animals, each have a height chart on them. We encourage parents to take a picture of their children each day they are at the fair. This will give parents a current picture including approximate height and what the child is wearing that day.

These signs are also a great opportunity for parents to have a keepsake photo of how their children have grown each year. Did you know that after the opening ceremony and the popular cheese auction, there is a harness race event on Tuesday afternoon? This is a free grandstand event offering an exciting show of athletic horses galloping against each other in different races! This impressive event has been a staple of the Lewis County Fair and we encourage people of all ages to attend and cheer on their favorite horse and jockey.

The racing pigs are a popular show which is family-friendly and engaging! Audience members are even picked from the crowd and included in this fun-loving show. We are also excited to welcome Agricadabra; An educational agricultural show that gets the audience excited to learn about NY States agriculture in a fun and engaging way!

Coleman Bros. Shows will be back in our midway again! The Tuesday night wristband special was so successful last year that they plan to bring it back again this summer. Pre-sale tickets will also be available again this year. The Lewis County Fair has been a momentous success for these years thanks to all of the amazing local support from our community and sponsors. A festival that began nearly three decades ago to determine who made the best Spiedie a sandwich filled with cubes of marinated meat has evolved into one of the biggest hot air balloon festivals in the nation. The Spiedie cooking contests take place on Sunday in two rounds, with backyard chefs competing for the Grand Champion Belt and other prizes. Get out and do any number of activities like hiking, biking, and kayaking—and even going out for ice cream!

You win by completing four activities in a row and every winner will receive one free admission to the fair. Once there, check out the rides, food, and games at the midway.
