Other activities included trips to Roswell to participate in the annual UFO Festival where they also won prizes for their parade entries. Jeanette and Jay were well-traveled. They knew every New Mexico county like the backs of their hands, travelled to all 50 states, and explored six continents – only missing Antarctica due to treacherous weather.

Their favorite place to visit was Napili Bay on Maui, where they celebrated their 50th anniversary with family and friends. Jeanette is survived by Jay, her husband of 53 years, son Duncan, of Phoenix, daughter Melissa and her husband Lloyd, and grandsons Tyler and Derek, of Scottsdale.
