Nebraska plays its home games at Memorial Stadium , where it has sold out every game since Nebraska is among the most storied programs in college football history and has the eighth-most all-time victories among FBS teams. The program's first extended period of success came just after the turn of the century.

Between and , Nebraska had five undefeated seasons and completed a stretch of thirty-four consecutive games without a loss, still a program record. In eleven seasons as head coach, Devaney won two national championships, eight conference titles, and coached twenty-two All-Americans, but perhaps his most lasting achievement was the hiring of Tom Osborne as offensive coordinator in Nebraska has had thirty-five head coaches in the program's history.

The oldest, unveiled in , depicts six Nebraska defenders tackling a ball carrier. Sculptor Joe Putjenter also created the Tunnel Walk gates inside of the stadium. Since , Nebraska's home games have opened with the "Tunnel Walk".

Just before kickoff, Memorial Stadium plays " Sirius " as the Huskers take the field from the northwest tunnel. Immediately before the Tunnel Walk, the west side of Memorial Stadium yells "Husker" in unison, while the east side responds with "Power.

At every home game since the s, [32] fans have released red helium balloons when the Huskers score their first points. In , a global helium shortage threatened the tradition, but the university allowed for a limited number of balloon releases throughout the season. In , citing another global helium shortage, athletic director Trev Alberts put the tradition on hold for the year. Nebraska has a long-standing walk-on program, designed to attract student-athletes who did not receive scholarship offers.

NU accepted its first walk-on in the early s, and Tom Osborne began an official program in after the NCAA reduced the number of scholarships schools could offer. Nebraska's first helmet was red with a single white stripe, later changed to plain white with a black number on the side. From to , the helmet featured a red, offset "NU" on each side.

In , this was changed to the now-familiar single "N", although a few "NU" helmets remained as late as The change was necessitated due to a shortage of "U" stickers, and when the program claimed its first national championship , the single N remained. The Huskers wore full shoulder stripes in the late s and early s, but these were gradually phased out as mesh and tearaway jerseys became popular. From to , Nebraska's jerseys featured only a block "N" on the sleeves.

In , stripes and TV numbers were permanently re-added, although both have decreased in size as jersey sleeves have shortened.

In , last names were permanently affixed to all jerseys. Nebraska's defense has been referred to as the " Blackshirts " since the s, a reference to the black jerseys worn by starting defensive players during practice.

Depictions of the Blackshirts often include a skull and crossbones. The tradition originated when Bob Devaney had the defense use contrasting jerseys to offset the red worn by the offense in practice.

The team traditionally wears white pants at home and red on the road, although there have been exceptions. Nebraska first donned red pants with red jerseys for its contest with Oklahoma ; the combination was unofficially retired after a late Nebraska loss. NU used the white-on-white combination for its first three road games in , but lost two of them, including an upset loss to Iowa State. The "surrender suits", as they became known, were not seen again for over a decade.

Nebraska again donned all-white in to contrast Fresno State's all-red uniforms. NU won 55—19 and wore white pants in three more road games that season. From through , Nebraska's pants had two stripes down each side. These were removed prior to the season, and the pants remained stripe-less until In , Nebraska experimented with large side panels on its jersey and pants, and wore all-white in every road game. The changes were unpopular among fans, and Nebraska quickly reverted most changes, which included the permanent return of pant stripes.

Nebraska wore throwback uniforms for the first time in , to honor Memorial Stadium's th consecutive sellout. In , Nebraska wore throwback uniforms to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the school's national championship team. Unlike previous years, this design was well received.

And not a song about being tempted by the devil. Because it shows that Satan has some human characteristics. He can fall in love with a woman and promise to share his power with her. He would give her anything in the world that she desires, so long as she promises to love him the same way he loves her.

Heavy Metal is synonymous with songs of bad assery. Not a real word, however I feel it works well with this article. Bad assery. The glam guys in the 80s did a pretty good job with the love songs, but after a while it kind of tainted the image of heavy metal. However Black Sabbath did create a love song that brings most metal fans together. That song would be the classic N. For anyone asking what N. However fans have often called this song Nativity in Black, which is a million times better in my opinion.

Hmm, his love cannot be true, the sun, the moon, the stars bear his seal, yeah now it makes sense. Some people see this as less of a love song and more of a song about being tempted by the devil. If you read the lyrics the song is clearly about Lucifer and his love for presumably a woman who doubts his sincerity.

Lucifer does not immediately admit that he is Satan and continues to try to reassure his conquest that he truly loves her. However, Satin cannot truly love anyone but himself and anyone that falls for his deceptions shall be eternally damned.

Repent and accept Jesus Christ as your savior and true redeemer! Personally I was a person growing up felt unloved.

My first album was master of reality because I was moved by the heavy metal guitar drums gave me good feelings however my following of rock music really ended me up on a deadend street.

Rock music decieved me into thinking I had found thee answer. Spent or wasted a lot of money purchasing rock albums with no reality attached to it. If the bear shows no interest in your food and you're physically attacked, fight back aggressively with any available object – the bear may consider you as prey!

The black bear's keen sense of smell leads it to insects, nuts, and berries, but the animal is also enticed by the tantalizing smells of human food and garbage such as hot dogs, apple cores, chips, and watermelon rinds left on the ground in picnic areas, campgrounds, and along trails.

These bears also reside in wetlands with a healthy amount of vegetation. American black bears are a pretty shy and solitary species. Humans typically encounter black bears when exploring forested areas like the North Georgia mountains. Black bears are omnivores and eat a variety of berries, roots, insects, and small mammals. Their diet mainly consists of seeds, berries, and weeds.

Fish and other mammals may be eaten when their preferred food sources are unavailable. Human activity can alter black bear food behaviors. If they find litter and food scraps left behind by humans, they may frequent these areas for easy scavenging.

However, food can become scarce for a number of reasons and this can lead bears to seek out other ways to find food. Hunting season for black bears in Georgia begins at different times depending on the region.

In the North Georgia zone, hunting season typically starts in September for archery. Mid to late October, the hunting season begins for other types of weapons. The season lasts until January. Central Georgia has much stricter hunting season dates that can vary by year. Specific dates are set for the bear hunting season in southern Georgia.

The season typically begins in late September and lasts until mid-October. Bear activity and sightings become less common in the fall. Around this time, bears prepare for a hibernation-like dormancy. They go into a state of dormancy where their activity is reduced and they remain in their den to conserve energy.

They spend late fall and winter in dens. Female black bears give birth to cubs in a den during the early months of hibernation season. Once spring begins, black bears emerge from their dens in search of food.

Home ranges are usually bigger during this time. Bear sightings are fairly common for Georgia residents that live within the three distinct black bear ranges in the state. The GNR Wildlife Resources Division released a statement in April warning residents and visitors of possible bear sightings upon early warm spring temperatures.
