Sunny Point is the quintessential West Asheville eatery: food is simple, delicious, and not too expensive; dogs are welcome; herbs and some I love this place.
They have a garden out back and indoor, outdoor, and sheltered porch seating. The vibe of the peace is so chill, and the staff is very helpful. The food was great, and they change up their menu often. We got the shrimp and grits, chicken and waffle sandwich, and the lemon pepper crusted trout. The risotto in the trout was so amazing and perfect. The food came out in a timely manner, and everything was perfect.
Amazing cocktails. Got their gin cocktail and it was strong not that we minded. Ordered the pecan crusted fried green tomato sandwich and shrimp and grits. All were delicious. Service was attentive and friendly. Cute place. Loved that it uses local vendors for their food. Even in winter time the patio was super toasty with its enclosure and heaters.
The food was amazing and arrived quickly. The servers were all really helpful and friendly. You would never know it was mid-February when we went Southern restaurant US. Tupelo Honey is a restaurant that prides itself on serving traditional Southern Food rooted in the Carolina Mountains. They focus on simple, scratch recipes with responsibly sourced ingredients that attract diners for breakfast, lunch, brunch, supper, and nibbles. Tupelo Honey Cafe in downtown Asheville is a fantastic option for boozy brunch with friends.
Photo by Sarah Resta Photography. Wonderful atmosphere! Our lovely server recommended several other places we will be trying. Fried Green Tomatoes are a must, absolutely delicious served over grits. Perfectly sweet thanks to the honey batter. Loved it!! Quick Summary Solid brunch spot with pretty good chicken. Make a reservation, especially on the weekends. Only complaint was how long it took to get our food and service times Food- 4.
They were all very good and a great hearty meal. Service- 3. Lovely environment. Staff at both locations are extremely welcoming and positive. The food is amazing, some great southern dishes with a modern twist. Plate presentation is simple and beautiful. Show up early or make a reservation. This place is popular and busy, but totally worth the wait! Mentioned on 2 lists. Slide 1 of 4. Asheville is filled with so many incredible outdoor activities. Enter Asheville Sandwich Company! I went here with my mom and we got an amazing Philly cheesesteak.
The cheese was so melty and gooey. We also got the bahn mi fr On a Friday for lunch we did have to wait about 15 mins for our food but there is plenty of outdoor seating and always something entertaining to look at on Haywood.
Really nice service. Would definitely order here regularly! Interesting menu and very vegetarian and vegan menu. Nice flavors, excellent fries and enjoyed it. Service was great as lady brought waters and food outside and very accommodating. I really like the food. The low rating comes from the service. I ordered online. Got a confirmation that it would take 30 minutes. When I arrived on time, the folks told me it would be another 15 minutes. Sitting out in the courtyard, they said the same to many other patroons.
The staff seemed to be half baked. Not the most professional even for Asheville. Follow up: Got a call from the owner about the service. I appreciate that so much. AND, I still stand by the quality of food. My sandwich was so tasty and the fries are generous and yummy. The Med, at 57 College St. Think sixties diner with booths and the window with a bell that dings when your order is up.
Visited on a busy Tuesday morning after Christmas and waited about 45 minutes for a seat. Service is great and food is amazing. Would definitely return on a future visit to Asheville. The food was worth the wait! Home cooked style diner breakfast. Absolutely delicious. Customers were coming in left and right. Would definitely dine here again. Breakfast was fantastic — just be prepared to wait, both for a seat and for the food after you order.
We had the breakfast burrito, hash bowl we asked for the sauces on the side and glad we did; might have overwhelmed all the other wonderful flavors , and some delicious grits. The breakfast potatoes are great all on their own. Fast food restaurant. Show 4 more. I'd think all Chick fil A's are pretty much equal, but this is the worst Chick fil A location I've visited. On my first visit they put che Update: check out my cool photo of fries out of the bag.
Notice anything missing? I hate the fact my kid likes this place so much. This location consistently makes errors not common to the whole of the business. Last three orders between me and my lady were comped due to lack of attention. Then get the free food and have to bring it back because there is meat in a vegetarian custom request.
Over and over. This is such a rip off, I have contacted management and all I get offered are points on the app. I would just like my order to be complete, for the price they charge for fries. They should at least fill the carton! Try it on Wanderlog. Hamburger restaurant.
I enjoy a good burger anytime, but but Fguys oooh goodness such a wonder, this is an excellent burger, thanks A good burger and fries. The small was plenty big enough for us. The fries were tasty ans fresh. It was a little pricey but I we felt like we got our money's worth.
We'll be back occasionally. In the time that I have lived in the cities of Tucson and Asheville, I have sampled most of the premium burgers served from most food establishments. Frankly, 5 Guys serves the best fast-food burgers you can buy. Their freshly made-to-order burgers on a bun, with toppings, are mouth-watering and unsurpassed in taste.
A classic burger, however, also deserves equal preparation of french-fries. Five Guys fries could use some work in this regard. As in most fast food establishments, the frying oil is not filtered or changed often enough.
Five Guys, like similar fast-food restaurants, falls short in this regard. If you stick to ordering what they do best, you will receive the best premium burger money can buy. The price of basic meal-offering has jumped substantially as of late.
I am keenly aware that food prices and labor have skyrocketed over the last couple of years, but gee, can you give us a break. It is becoming ever more difficult to justify eating my favorite hamburger. Pricing issues aside, I can heartily recommend dining at Five Guys. Great food, but I'd rather go to McDonald's or Wendy's or such to have a similar burger.. I mean taste like I made the burger at home. Wendy's has better burgers.. I never had 5 guys before and always heard the hype about it.
Yeah definitely wasn't convinced what so ever. It was good and great people but just not worth It in my opinion. Even if it costed 20 for the whole meal still I'd rather had went to Wendy's or similar. Show 3 more. Was in a hurry and sandwich was made lazily. Would only recomm Consistently great sandwiches and with entertainment today. There was a real life Karen complaining about waiting in the most inappropriate way. She not only cussed the staff, but made a scene even after being offered a full refund by two employees.
Then she asked an employee to go outside and fight n front of her children no less. She shouted that she would have their jobs so I'm posting this review hoping the owners or managers will know it wasn't the staff who started the scene but the irrational, rude and impatient customer. I love Jersey Mike's subs! The ingredients are fresh, and I am glad for the GF buns! I travel a lot, and this is a staple meal in many places that I visit.
I was not disappointed in the food quality at this locations, but the customer service left room for improvement. The employees were not overly friendly. They did not seem to enjoy working or show any cheerfulness to the customers. I forgot to use my Shore Points rewards on my order. When I asked the employee if there was a way that I could do it after the fact, she just said, "No," and walked away.
I went back to my hotel and figured out how to do it online myself. This was not the quality of service that matches the high quality of food. Keep working on it! Went in after ordering my sandwich online and being informed it was ready. Had to wait another 10 minutes for them to start it after I got there. The employees then joked and laughed about how I had to demand them to make me a new one until the employee snarkly handed me my sandwich and I left. Will never be coming to this establishment again and am severely disssapointed in the employee behavior.
Barbecue restaurant. This tasty Asheville restaurant offers a little bit of everything, from wood-smoked whole hog barbecue to delicious fried catfish and many more options. Really cool spot! Hush puppies were delicious. Highly recommend the Lions Share cocktails. Thank you to Scout for being a really kind and personable server. Food was awesome and the atmosphere is so cool! Huge windows with a little lovely mountain ridge view.
They even have murals on the walls from Really cool little gem. We enjoyed our lunch here, but I wouldn't necessarily say we have to make this a regular stop. The sweet tea was perfectly sweet. BBQ is vinegar-based and on the meh side. Honestly can't recommend any of the sauces.
We learned about this place from the Food Network, so our expectations were high. The atmosphere was neat and our waitress was friendly.
We seated ourselves per their sign's instructions and apparently we sat in a table that gets served by the bar. The bartender did show up a few minutes later, and apologized for the wait. I would describe the food as ok – but nothing to write home about. I ordered the fish sandwich with lima beans. I didn't really care for the seasonings in the beans.
My husband ordered the chopped brisket po boy sandwich with french fries. The chopped brisket was more like pulled brisket. The taste was fine for both meals – but this isn't a place I'd make a special trip to. Mentioned on 1 list. Here at Uncorked Asheville, we always get asked for the best Asheville restaurants near or at breweries.
Although Wicked Weed is indeed a tourist spot, you kind of have to go here too. Wicked Weed serves up delicious sandwiches, burgers, and entrees to pair with their wide beer selection.
My husband and I went brewery hopping and Wicked Weed was on our list. Been here 3 times in the past 3 weeks. Hours: 11AM – 7PM. Food is great but I wish the dining room was open. Drive thru is not ideal for me because I prefer to go inside so I can look at the menu without feeling Good pizza. After eating here many times I've had a couple less than ideal experiences when it comes to food quality but overall it's been good More reviews.
