There really is no grey area when it comes to this are there alligators in lake james nc contested Halloween mainstay. Sadly, it seems candy corn has more haters than fans, and I'd like to take this opportunity to defend these cone-shaped sugar bombs, since Un believe they're wrongfully lwke year after year.

Are there alligators in lake james nc time of year makes me think of a lot of things— going to the state fair as a child it always came to Mobile, Alabama in Octobercostume parties, cute pumpkins on porches, and perhaps most predominantly, why do alligattors hate on thege corn so much?! If that makes me a monster then so be it. There's no jaes like October to embrace that label.

The flavor is tasty sort of sweet but also sort of buttery, but not buttery enough to нажмите сюда full-on savory and candy corn straight-up melts in your mouth. It's one of those candies that's perfect to shovel by the handful. The more cornsthe merrier, I say. And if you can't handle hard candy, just let it soak in there for a minute. It'll soften up super fast so you too can enjoy the confection whose coloring dominates an entire two months of the year.

As you chew or soakit slowly starts to taste like you're eating the frosting of a cake, and I am always down for frosting. Read more: 8 things to know about peanut butter kisses. Ewww, who wants corn of any kind in their candy? An orange color implies an orange flavor What sort of unwelcome flavor surprise am I gonna get there?

You swear names not corn-flavored? If these questions haunt your mind every time alligators hear or see candy corn, you are definitely not alone. But don't make the same mistake I made with candy corn, missing out on its goodness for far too long.

Candy corn has its support system, even if that are there alligators in lake james nc isn't overt. In fact, you may like candy corn and not even realize it. I assume this because reindeer corn was named the most popular Christmas candy in Alabama, Georgia and Thrre in This is just candy corn in a red and green package!

If candy corn is your favorite Halloween candyI hope this gives you the permission you've always are there alligators in lake james nc to own it with pride, and dole it out to young trick-or-treaters in hopes of inspiring younger generations jzmes try the things that scare them.

There are alligattors lot of fast food biscuits out there, but not all of ’em are created equal. While nothing you get in a drive-thru can compare to those fluffy, warm pieces of heaven Granny has been known to serve up, some biscuits xlligators up at fast food restaurants come closer than others.

That's why we decided to ask members of The Potluck, our subscription membership programto rank plain jn biscuits from several fast food chains, including Popeye's, Hardee's and Whataburger. If ate want to help influence our content, receive exclusive merchandise and more, join Potluck here. The are there alligators in lake james nc made it pretty clear that when it comes to biscuits, some fast food joints might as well just hang up their apron.

You can see the results of ranking below, and if you want are there alligators in lake james nc take part in our next Potluck ranking, you can join up here. We've got to be honest. We didn't even know Burger King served biscuits or breakfast in general prior hc creating this ranking, and considering the low score our Potluck members gave it, that's probably for the best.

One thing we do know though? Biscuits is one throne Burger King won't be claiming anytime soon. Wendy's is the newest chain on our list to start serving biscuits to hungry diners, so we're going to give them the benefit of the doubt here.

It took Hardee's 40 years to perfect their buttermilk biscuits, and they still had a few naysayers put ’em in last place. It was honestly a little cruel of us to throw a biscuit rookie like Wendy's in the competition in the first place. Related: Best fast food biscuit? We put them to the test. Whataburger might be beloved for a lot of things, but their biscuits didn't seem to land a spot on that list.

We're willing to cut them some slack though given that the rules of this ranking required the biscuit in question be plain. We all know mc if Whataburger's honey butter chicken biscuit was in the contest, посмотреть больше results would be a-whole-lot different Read more: Fast food chains with Southern roots. Fried chicken joints are usually known for having better-than-average biscuits, so lae were a little surprised to see KFC come up short are there alligators in lake james nc our ranking.

After all, Kentucky Fried Chicken's biscuits are there alligators in lake james nc known for being thick and fluffy, making them the perfect ссылка на страницу for the chain's signature gravy. On their own though? Well, it seems they're viewed as more dry than anything. McDonald's plain biscuit is a bit of a classic. We've all had one at some point in our tthere likely smothered in grape jelly, and we all remember it as being somewhere between "fine" and "good enough.

Does it anyway compare to the buttermilk biscuits your Grandma makes? Absolutely not. People seem to be very divided when allligators comes to Popeye's biscuits. You either love ’em or you hate ’em, and there's no middle ground. Well, except for in the case of this ranking because their results landed them right dab in alligaators middle. They're not the lowest scoring chicken joint on our list, but they're not the highest either. Now, if we were ranking chicken sandwiches Is anyone else surprised thre see Chick-fil-A end up not in first place?

We tend to just assume they're going to win anything and everything, but there's a good chance the aligators "plain only" element of this ranking knocked some of the wind out of their sails. While a chicken biscuit from Chick-fil-A is a breakfast favorite for many, we're pretty sure it's the "chicken" aare that источник it so.

Related: It's official. Biscuits are better than cornbread. While Bojangles might have missed out on being crowned with the title of "best fast food biscuits" all-around — by only a few decimals of a point, we might add — the chain can rejoice in knowing that they scored the highest of all the fast food fried chicken contenders, and that's something to be proud of, right?

Hardee's is the winner of our fast-food covid test in new york city for tourist ranking, and it's pretty easy to understand why. For more than 40 years, the chain has been serving fresh, made-from-scratch biscuits every morning. You don't do something for that long and not get really, really good at it.

Sure, they offer plenty of toppings to make it more filling, but that's all just a bonus because when aare comes to biscuits from Hardee's, there's nothing plain about ’em. Roasted marshmallows taste better when burnt, and no one can tell me any different. Things only grandma can get away with. There's just something about trains, y'all. Offering a three-year degree and a two-year advance standing track for qualified students, the MArch program empowers you to exercise creativity as a cultural creator and succeed in professional practice. Architecture majors inspire each other as they get direct experience building with materials and learning to understand the technical demands of architecture through a process of inquiry, reflection and invention.

Architecture alumni make their mark as creative professionals in many different ways. Known for an economy of form and function, Deborah Berke has built her New York firm based on a commitment to community and sustainability.

She regularly returns to RISD as a critic and is a long-time faculty member at Yale University, where she has been named the first female dean of the School of Architecture, effective in July She credits her success to a combination of practice, teaching and public service. Based in Los Angeles, Michael Maltzan designs homes, art centers, public housing complexes and landscapes to stimulate and engage users.

Successful advanced standing students typically complete degree requirements in two years. More than 40 full- and part-time faculty members work with approximately total graduate students in the department, providing criticism and support through critiques, informal reflection and ongoing discussion—both during and outside of class time.

Visiting professors contribute alternate perspectives and insights, complementing the range of academic, research-based and professional practice among the resident faculty. Master of Architecture candidates come to RISD from around the world, bringing different approaches and various degrees of fluency in visual, verbal, construction-based and technical expression. Our large open studios give every student an individual and customizable workspace.

These spaces support material exploration, digital and material drafting and modeling. Designed to foster individual creativity while also inviting communal discourse and shared making, these spaces capitalize on the diversity within our student body and cultivate a learning environment that prepares students for the highly collaborative practice of architecture. The degree project represents the culmination of each student's interests relative to the curriculum.

A seminar in the fall of the final year helps focus these interests into a plan of action. Working in small groups of six to eight under the guidance of a single professor supported by a secondary advisor, students pursue individual projects throughout Wintersession and spring semester. Degree projects are expected to embody the architectural values that best characterize their authors as architects and are critiqued based on the success of translating these values into tangible objects.

If your academic credentials are prepared in a language other than English, they must be translated into English by an approved translator before submitting. Enrolling students will later be required to submit official transcripts. Graduate applicants to studio programs are required to submit 10—20 examples of visual work, with certain programs suggesting more specific ideas or portfolio requirements. Use SlideRoom to submit your graduate portfolio here. You may submit up to five videos as project documentation or excerpts of time-based media.

Total runtime for all videos should be no more than five minutes. Please do not submit multi-page PDF files. Each sample should be accompanied by text identifying the medium and year, and a four-sentence description explaining the concepts that inform your work 50 words maximum. If collaborative projects are presented, you must clearly identify your individual contribution.

Furniture Design: In the MFA programs, students often make their own work as a means to understand complex ideas. The idea is that critical making combined with critical thinking leads to innovative objects.

This experimental approach applies to tests and models as well as to full-size objects at human scale. Material experimentation includes traditional, new and hybrid materials as appropriate to individual student interest. Choose your strongest work for your portfolio presentation—and it doesn't necessarily have to be furniture.

If possible, you should aim to show finished photographed work and minimize the number of process images you include. In addition to your portfolio materials uploaded to SlideRoom, we ask you to include a self-made video no more than 20 seconds duration of you making something.

The committee is not looking for video with professional production values, but rather is interested in seeing you making something: small, large, modest or complex, any making action can work—the choice is yours. This option shows the committee more about your interests. Please title your video. Industrial Design: The MID programs nourish interdisciplinarity and diversity as a way of inspiring a rich exchange of alternative perspectives and approaches.

In addition to your portfolio materials uploaded to SlideRoom, you are encouraged to include a self-made video no more than 20 seconds duration of you making something. We are not looking for video with professional production values; we are interested in seeing you making something — small, large, modest or complex, any making action can work, the choice is yours. This is an option you might enjoy adding to your submission for us to learn more about your interests.

Finally, please title your video. Landscape Architecture: All applicants to the Master's of Landscape Architecture degree programs are required to submit a portfolio and an additional video essay. Your portfolio should contain 10 individually produced and carefully chosen images of work that reflects your interests in landscape and the discipline of landscape architecture. Applicants to the MLA-1 program who have no prior design training may include photographs, sketches or written work that conveys their ability to observe, identify and explore spatial conditions within the landscape.

All other applicants should include a selection of work that demonstrates their interests and development in design. All work should be labeled to indicate if it is academic, professional or personal. If you present a team project, clearly identify your individual contribution. The portfolio should include a minimal amount of text. In the video, please show yourself speaking on screen. Avoid reading from a script or overdubbing. We encourage you to be authentic and heartfelt in your response.

This essay will function as the beginning of a conversation that will continue if you enter the program at RISD. The video does not need to contain the same information provided in your written essay. It should be casual in nature, not overproduced or over-edited. Cell phone videos are highly encouraged. Maximum length: 2 minutes. Master of Arts in Teaching MAT : Your portfolio should consist of 20 images exhibiting the depth and breadth of your studio experience.

Add it HERE! Companies use MRP to estimate quantities of raw materials, maintain inventory levels, and schedule production and deliveries. MRP helps businesses and manufacturers define what is needed, how much is needed, and when materials are needed and works backward from a production plan for finished goods.

MRP converts a plan into a list of requirements for the subassemblies, parts, and raw materials needed to produce a final product within the established schedule. MRP helps manufacturers get a grasp of inventory requirements while balancing both supply and demand. Using MRP, managers can determine their need for labor and supplies and improve their production efficiency by inputting data into the MRP scheme such as:.

Manufacturers manage the types and quantities of materials they purchase strategically and cost-effectively to ensure that they can meet current and future customer demand. MRP helps companies maintain appropriate levels of inventory so that manufacturers can better align their production with rising and falling demand.

A bill of materials BOM is an extensive list of raw materials, components, and assemblies required to construct, manufacture or repair a product or service. The MRP process:. After determining customer demand and utilizing the bill of materials, MRP breaks down demand into specific raw materials and components. MRP allocates inventory into the exact areas as needed. Time and labor requirements are calculated to complete manufacturing and a timeline is created. MRP automatically alerts managers of any delays and even suggests contingency plans to meet build deadlines.

Today, the planning function encompasses much more than materials, but even the newest incarnations of ERP can trace their roots directly back to MRP. And in all ERP, the original principle of MRP is still intact: identify what is needed, how much is needed, and when it is needed.

On the other hand, because ERP software contains much greater functionality than MRP, there is an equally strong argument for the second claim: MRP is indeed only a part of enterprise resource planning software. Why do companies that make products need an MRP system? Because their market success is highly dependent on their material planning, production, and inventory management abilities. Material planning can be relatively simple and straightforward, but only when volumes are low, the number of products is limited, and there are only a few components within each product.

For complex products and higher production volumes, complex calculations are needed. The ability to forecast and plan for materials and components is critically important to the effective management of production and finished goods inventory. This planned production is an essential building block for planning and scheduling equipment and skilled personnel.

Without material requirements planning, it is impossible to effectively manage inventory to have just the right amount of the right items at the right time.

Having too much inventory is expensive, yet having not enough can create stock-outs, which are often the main cause of production disruptions, late shipments, added costs, and poor customer service.

In the MRP sense, a manufacturer is any organization that acquires components or materials and transforms them in some way to produce a different item that can be sold to customers. This could include:. A modern MRP system is a tightly integrated closed-loop system that encompasses the entire enterprise.

It tracks all activity and continuously interacts with planning and scheduling systems to keep everything in line — helping the business stay focused on fulfilling customer promises and expectations.

Examples of capacity constraints include production resources like ovens or painting lines, tooling, or specially trained technicians. With traditional MRP, the material plan must be validated against capacity using a separate capacity planning tool. This two-step, iterative process can be time consuming. While this is a workable solution that represents a huge step forward for manufacturing planning, new software called advanced planning and scheduling or advanced planning systems APS optimizes materials and capacity simultaneously to create a constraint-based plan.

Here are some of the important differences:. Compare features in legacy and modern MRP systems to see how your company can benefit from the latest developments. As in the past, MRP software vendors today are taking advantage of new technologies to improve their products and offer more capabilities to users.

Foremost on the list is the application of machine learning and artificial intelligence AI in advanced planning processes to allow the systems to develop even better plans and schedules. Machine learning-enabled planning systems continually monitor conditions and activities to develop more precise models on cause and effect — so that its future recommendations are more comprehensive, more precise, and more effective.

IIoT is the general term for the proliferation of inexpensive, smart, connected sensors and devices that can be used to monitor and control virtually anything and everything throughout the entire supply chain.

IIoT brings vastly greater quantities of data into the planning systems that feed the AI and machine learning engines. The cloud also offers better security, higher availability, and more reliable and sustainable systems through disciplined back-up, fail-over, and disaster recovery.

Finally, in-memory databases bring unprecedented performance speed to MRP systems, for significantly faster response times. Gulf travel a hassle. While the MRP algorithm does work and is extensively used, it also exhibits significant drawbacks: A new approach to lower MRP nervousness. Acronyms browser? You can help Wikipedia by expanding it.
