I am looking to relocate from PA to either Dallas,Tx, Southeast Michigan or Massachusettes and want to find the best public school system for my child who has mild autism.

Although I jn not have a child in special ed, I did contact the special ed director for Plano after we left inquiring how they would handle my son with Autism if we came back.

More rigorous analysis simply takes longer. But this information can be supplemented with precinct-level vote results, census information, and survey findings. The Catalist authors put all this together to estimate how different demographics voted. Some of their general findings about what changed since For instance, it drives home the fact that the non-college white population, while declining as a share of the electorate, remains quite large they were about 44 percent of all voters in , and Trump won 63 percent of them.

And though Biden performed worse among Black voters than Clinton or Obama, he still won about 90 percent of that group. One note here is that, for the sake of allowing easy year-to-year comparisons, these percentages are calculated by looking only at votes cast for either the Democratic or Republican nominees, rather than for third-party candidates.

Much attention has been paid to the shift of white college-educated voters toward Biden and Latino voters toward Trump in , which makes sense — as a table from Catalist shows, those were particularly dramatic shifts.

But Democrats did not continue to hemorrhage these voters in — Biden actually improved slightly, winning 37 percent of them. First, white non-college voters continue to make up a very large chunk of the electorate. Catalist estimates that their share of the electorate has been shrinking, but they still were 44 percent of all voters in And second, they make up an even larger share of the electorate in some key swing states.

If he had won, say, 34 percent of them instead of the 37 percent he did win, he very well might not be president right now. Furthermore, the shorthand of punditry often says Democrats win because of a coalition of nonwhite and college-educated white voters. But the below chart makes the point that non-college whites actually still make up an estimated 32 percent of overall votes cast for Biden.

In comparison, Black and Latino voters together also comprised 32 percent of the overall votes for Biden. Simply put, there are a lot of white people in the United States of America, and a lot of them vote. This turnout increase meant the Latino share of the electorate continued its trend of growth — Latino voters were 7 percent of the electorate in , 9 percent in , and 10 percent in The turnout surge also raises a question — did Trump improve because previously voting Latinos switched from backing Democrats to backing Republicans, or were his gains mainly among new voters?

Biden won an estimated 90 percent of the two-way vote among Black voters in — which is both an overwhelming win, and the worst performance for a Democrat among Black voters in over a decade. Clinton won 93 percent of the two-way vote among Black voters in , and Obama won 97 percent in Furthermore, the report estimates that turnout among Black voters increased from by 14 percent, a higher rate of increase than among white college voters 13 percent or white non-college voters 11 percent.

So it can be true both that Biden did worse than Clinton among Black voters and that Black voters remain a core pillar of the Democratic coalition. In , Obama won an estimated 46 percent of these voters, in Clinton won 50 percent of them, and in , Biden won 54 percent of them. White college-educated voters made up about 28 percent of the electorate in — about as much as all nonwhite voters combined. So winning college-educated whites by 54 to 46 percent matters a great deal.

Further, according to the report, about 58 percent of white women with a college degree voted for Biden compared to 55 percent voting for Clinton in and 50 percent voting for Obama in One overall takeaway from the report, though, is that an electoral majority is often a fragile thing these days.

Lose a few points among a few groups and it could slip from your grasp. And some apparent trends continue from one election to the next — while others can surprisingly reverse themselves. Moreover, my department – Interior Architecture IntAR – was an exceptionally well put together department. Focusing on concept and actually teaching us "how to think," not only taught us how to develop our own design strategies, but also equipped us with the designer-brain. This allowed me to be able disd design in various fields, not just in interiors. I truly believe that this is why I was able to get into graduate school in Creative Producing. The rigor and rizd of experimenting and exploring in RISD will make you an all-rounded creative.

The school is risd a good art school an internationally diverse population, but is a bit lacking in American racial diversity. The career is risd a good art school center is excellent, and provides many resources for preparing for life after RISD.

These resources go hand in hand with the strong alumni network. RISD alums are known for hiring graduates or connecting them with other opportunities. Providence is a rich environment with an active creative scene. Overall, I don't think I could have chosen a better place to study. As someone changing careers, I feel that I have been opened up to paths I didn't know I wanted to follow, and that I will be well prepared and connected as a professional designer.

Caleb Churchill. Also notable is risd a good art school the schools ranking of second in the nation. Maria Camarena. I have my own space to work and all the criticism I need tisd make it better. The cons is just the cost. I'll probably leave arh program читать полностью the thesis year because I can't afford it.

I believe that I was going to be able to find enough scholarships and grants but I have not. Hung-Nien Lai. And RISD is a school which really emphasizes "hand-made", which means that we have to do a lot of models and drawings by hands. I transferred directly into sophomore year of Industrial Design. I loved the skills-based metal- and wood-working classes, and the teachers and shop techs are all amazing. The required ID Design Principles studio was hell ar me.

I как сообщается здесь the projects, and the culture of the studio was "if you're not miserable, you're not working hard enough. A lot of what you do or don't learn at RISD depends on how hard you work for it, which can be difficult at times–for example, learning some software programs, getting to know how to take good photos of your work, things like that. RISD os have a good deal of ego surrounding it. A lot of the students are from wealthy families, and there's a pretty obvious socio-economic gap or there was to me, as one of the few students who heavily relied on financial aid, work-study, and loans.

Bottom line: I made some of my best friends svhool, and learned a lot about gooc, my design skills, and my values as an artist. If you can afford it, RISD is worth it, but prepare to stand up for yourself and the education you want.

Although Providence is not quite a big city, it has a lot to offer and a lovely place for a student life. Maria Pizarro. People are very friendly and interested in sharing knowledge.

My experience as a graduate student is kind of negative, honestly I was expecting more in terms of quality of education.

Professors are confusing and sometimes they just care about the final image rather in the technical, practical and viability of the project. Нажмите чтобы узнать больше if you are interested in "real architecture", I wouldn't recommend the Interior Schol Master because is focused on art and utopian design concepts, is not functional at all.

There is a lot that can be learned from other departments while you are here. There is also an opportunity to teach your scohol own class to undergraduates.

This is a great program for those interested in teaching, this is for me mostly what could is risd a good art school justify the immense expense of the program. Obviously tuition iss extremely expensive. Also, a car is required for getting larger materials such as full sheets of plywood to the grad studio building. Michael Jacobs. As a graduate student, I am able to experience as much as possible cross-discipline. Creating self driven and faculty advised independent study programs within disd degree opens up many doors to other departments and resources.

The career services people here are incredible rat if you talk with them, they are committed is risd a good art school make sure you get a job. Unfortunately, RISD is absurdly expensive. Their oversight and administration is terrible, often disorganized, and sometimes borderline dysfunctional. If you're able to navigate the politics of the school, be self-motivated, and can somehow afford the pricetag, RISD is worth it.

Adriel Tong. The cons of the graduate program is too much non-studio classes as required when you are a studio-base Artist. Amanda Pickens. The career center is great as well and the people there do an amazing job at networking with companies and providing useful internship and career advice. Kyoko Jackson. Kjartan Oskarsson. Diana Wagner. Courses are ill considered to the needs of a diverse graduate student body and an overwhelming portion of education received is done rat of instruction and advisement.

While RISD as an institution has a wealth of opportunity to offer its students the Industrial Design is risd a good art school specifically is lacking in fostering a supportive and well rounded design education for its students.
