Mount Pleasant, SC | Another Broken Egg Cafe – Share this story
With views of the Ashley River, there's no better place to tuck into a bottomless cup of coffee and a bowl of grits when the weather is clear. Queen Street Grocery is nestled in the French Quarter, so customers can watch the carriage tours go by as they cut into a crepe or omelette. For those on the go, choose a hot-pressed breakfast sandwich on a croissant or bagel. As the name states, Millers All Day does indeed serve breakfast all day. Look for big fluffy biscuits, pancakes, grits, and plenty of bacon in a hip, yet comfortable, dining room.
There might not be any eggs, but it's hard to resist the European charm of the cafe and the full carafes of French press coffee. Super cute spot Baguette Magic offers carbs on carbs on carbs. Patrons rave about the recovery baguette — a hangover-curing combination of scrambled eggs, bacon, prosciutto, white cheddar, tomato jam, and arugula.
For those in search of something sweet, check out the homemade Pop-Tarts or the chocolate croissant. A post shared by Baguette Magic baguettemagic. The food was delicious, I'll go as far as to say it was some of the best we'd had on our trip we're uk based and this was a holiday. I had the citrus chilli short rib tacos which came with a salad, hubby had the cilantro limb buffalo shrimp tacos and we shared a side of pomme frites.
Everything was super tasty and if I could have eaten more or eaten it again I would have. We'll be back if we ever visit Charleston again. Mentioned on 2 lists. Try it on Wanderlog. Hip outpost offering a rotating menu of inventive, seasonal cuisine made with local ingredients. Breakfast items include yogurt parfait, freshly baked pastries, avocado toast, and a selection of hearty and healthy sandwiches. Brunch Hours: Saturday-Sunday starting at 10 a. Amazing dinner experience with our group.
We enjoyed some drinks and lots of appetizers. The whipped feta was one of our favorite dishes…so much so that we ordered two of them. The Caesar salad was so yummy as well as the mushroom appetizer. Loved everything about this place and cannot wait to go back. Everything was perfect whipped feta is a MUST and this is the only place I and my husband want to return if we were to visit Charleston again!
The food is creative and well seasoned and our server was very attentive and gave lots of great recommendations. Try Spicy Potatoes if you are a fan of spicy Asian food :. It was a lovely dinner exquisite taste. Had warm olives and whipped feta as appetizers both good but the feta takes the cake. Seared snapper and spicy chicken avocado salad both amazing and for desert had the rice pudding it was beyond my favorite best in town.
New American restaurant. Casual, rustic-chic restaurant with a waterfront deck offering a locally sourced New American menu. What better way to enjoy farm-fresh Charleston dishes and crisp cocktails than waterfront on Mount Pleasant's Shem Creek?. My husband and I went to Charleston for the first time this weekend. I made reservations for this restaurant a few weeks back because of recommendations. The restaurant itself is beautiful.
The brisket on his was so smoky and flavorful. My grits were creamy and there was lots of huge shrimp in it. Both are definitely worth the price! However, the portions are! Our server Megan was really sweet. Interior looks like Joanna Gaines decorated the place, gorgeous!
Tasty cocktails, relaxing atmosphere, tables are spaced apart nicely, and food was delicious. Both were fantastic! Too much curry for my taste though. We had the key lime cheesecake for dessert, not what one might expect as traditional key lime, but the dish had layers of flavor, quite unique. Give this place a try, you won't be disappointed. Loved this place. Beautifully designed interiors, very open and comfortable.
The food is excellent as well. We ordered from the brunch menu which was fairly limited but everything was delicious. The breakfast burrito was great. The brunch burger was excellent. Everything included on the bread board was fresh and tasty, without being too filling.
Our waitress was attentive enough without being overbearing. Next time in, in warmer weather, we hope to sit outside and watch the boats. Located in the heart of West Ashley on Savannah Highway 17, Early Bird Diner is a made-from-scratch diner that serves a hearty breakfast for early birds with belly-filling dishes such as chicken and waffles, buttermilk pancakes, French toast, biscuits and gravy, corn cake Benedict, shrimp and grits, steak and eggs, and eggs in a variety of styles.
It's not that often nowadays to find those classic late night diners you always see in the movies, but Early Bird Diner fulfills those nostalgic dreams!. Try their chicken and waffles or double decked pancakes for a meal that will keep you full for the rest of the day. This morning I came in for the second time to eat breakfast at the Early Bird Diner and guess what??? I will return a third, fourth, fifth time!!!! Great place to come for breakfast, I had the chicken and waffles.
Chicken super delicious and the waffles as well. Friendly staff, they will greet you once you enter and service was phenomenal. Simple menu but options are great and worth trying. This will be my go to diner whenever I travel to Charleston. Atmosphere Diner style with open seating. Dated but clean. Service Young man who served us was helpful.
Didn't give his name. Middle age woman came to make conversation about the amount of food we ordered. It was weird and inappropriate. She didn't offer to help our server clear the table, just talking about the amount of food. I guess one entree person is too much food. Food Portions were good size. The cumin rubbed chicken, shrimp and grits special was cold but had a good flavor. The cinnamon waffle was lacking in temp and flavor. The fried chicken was seasoned very well and came out hot.
The scrambled eggs were hot as well. The French toast was thick but not flavorful. The greens were not it. Fried okra came out hot but needed seasoning.
First time stopping in and the vibe and food were great. The diner serves breakfast all day, lunch from lunchtime to close, and dinner 4 to close. I had the country fried steak a favorite dish of mine with collards and fried okra for dinner.
The collards were fantastic and reminded me of my grandmother's. The steak was well cooked and nicely breaded. The gravy wasn't too salty and the fried okra was fresh and perfectly cooked. The staff is friendly and responsive, but as with any restaurant these days, a little patience goes a long way. So I debated long and hard about four or five stars here It comes down to this: The service was truly exceptional.
The food was good and I would definitely come back and try something different. Neither my wife nor I we're overwhelmed by our meals, but they were good. I ended up giving five stars because we really didn't have anything bad to say.

The salmon and corn pudding were amazing. Enjoyed the atmosphere during my work dinner. Good happy hour. Way overpriced for what you get. Fried shrimp was really good but the oil needed to be changed. The best thing we ordered was the potato augratin. We used to love this place, not anymore unfortunately. I am having to wait, because one member of my party had not arrived. This women went outside and was on her cell phone. Again, I am still waiting, even though, my entire party has arrived. The poor hostess answer the phone and I can tell she is being reprimanded for not seating the women with the large party in the golf carts.
They were seated very shortly after us and I had reservations. This tells me that someone with reservations had to wait longer. The hostess did nothing wrong! I probably will not bring out of town guests ever again! Go here if you want the best sleep of your life. Go here if you want to feel like a local. Go here if you love being near the city but want to be away from traffic and tourists.
I have seen reviews where guests have complained about a little noise. The reality is, this is a small, 7-room inn with a restaurant on the ground floor. Menu is excellent. Parking is only for hours. Very stylish coffee shop. Open space and clean inside. The service was great. I had a burger and was Delish! I stopped in to do some grab a coffee and do some work. Parking and tables are plentiful, and the almond milk latte was great. However, Merc and Mash plays very loud music and gets very busy. Garlic fries were on point! Crispy, light, fresh. We all ordered burgers. Flavor on burgers were excellent. Very good. Not a fan of the buns though. Overall, great experience, friendly staff, nice visit.
Was packed on a Tuesday night! This place is fantastic! It has a pub vibe and feel but the food is fantastic! I have eaten here several times and have never been disappointed. All of them agreed it was the best they had ever had outside of Scotland!
They have a full bar with many specialty cocktails available. We were seated promptly and the service was exceptional! Good place for a quick bite. My client has an awesome burger, I had the fish and chips.

A variety of toasts with toppings such as avocado, mushrooms, whipped feta, smoked salmon and cream cheese, and soft scrambled eggs is also on offer for breakfast or brunch.
We arrived around 10am and there was a line out the door. So you know it must be good. The line moved quickly and yet inside there are not a lot of seats so we had to wait a little bit. We all ordered food and coffee. I had the Black Sesame latte with almond milk and the seasonal vegetable soup that they offered.
Everything was so tasty! The drink was just the right of sweet without being overly sweet and difficult to drink. I loved the flavor and could still taste the black sesame. The soup was hearty and full of spice and flavor. The consistency was also really good. I cannot have gluten and they had options in their food menu and bakery section. It knocked me and my girlfriend on our feet! A truly stunning place. The staff are super kind and the food looked amazing.
The place has great indoor and outdoor seating so you can make it your own adventure! Waited 45 min In line to get coffees at 12 pm.
They were working effectively and very fast. Dip away, and then plan to scrape up every last bit with a spoon. Are you left wanting more after reading this?
